Vigna del 1928

CHIANTI RISERVA DOCG

In 1928 a small vineyard was planted in Cerreto Guidi with Tuscan grapes from the original Chianti blend. From these old vines we produce this Chianti Riserva named after the year it was planted. It shows great elegance and compllexity, deriving from limestone soil and the age of the vines.

Vigna delle conchiglie

CHIANTI RISERVA DOCG

“Vigne delle Conchiglie” vineyard was planted in 1990 on the best hillside of Poggiotondo. The marine soil is full of calcareous seashells (“conchiglie” in Italian) which give this wine its name. The minerals that are absorbed by the vine roots from this soil structure, impart a special elegance, complexity and minerality to the wine.

Terre di Cresci

Chianti classico DOCG

Poggiotondo owns vineyards in the noth’western part of the Chianti Classico region. Our “Terre di Cresci” is produced from grapes grown near the village of Montefioralle, in the Cresci area.
Soils there are calcareous marl (known as “alberese”), sandstone and schist, imparting energy, texture and elegance to the wines.
